Islamic Foundation North participates in community research project

The Initiative for Islam and Medicine came to IFN last August to conduct a community research project on organ donation and end of life in the Muslim community.

Nancy Romanchek, Mosque Community Nurse, served as a peer educator for the two-day research project. She helped facilitate the program, which included guest speakers and lively small-group discussions.

“We are looking forward to hearing the results of this study, which was replicated in Mosque communities in the Chicago metropolitan area and in Washington, D.C.” Nancy said.
